The Welcome Walls are a meeting place of memories and an evocative social history that honour the large number of people who arrived in Western Australia through the port of Fremantle. They are a striking outdoor gallery that greets visitors to the Maritime Museum on Victoria Quay.

Supporting the gallery is the interactive 'Passages’ database, accessible within the Museum and via the internet. This database provides information on migrants listed on the Welcome Walls, and displays fascinating archival photographs and records of the ports, the ships and the people who stepped ashore in Western Australia.
